World Arabian Horse Organization

The World Arabian Horse Organization (WAHO) was established in 1967. Poland was one of the organization’s founding members.

The WAHO statute distinguishes the following types of members:

  • Voting Members (countries – national institutions responsible for managing stud books)
  • Associate Members (organizations, associations, institutions, universities of member countries)
  • Individual Associate Members (natural persons)
  • Honorary Life Associate Members
  • Other types of members, upon the decision of the WAHO Executive Committee

Since the beginning of WAHO, namely 1967, Poles held positions on the Executive Committee. Among the organization’s founders were the many year director of Janów Podlaski Stud, the late Andrzej Krzyształowicz, whereas Mrs. Izabella Pawelec-Zawadzka held a position on the Executive Committee.

As an organization, the PAHBA is an Associate Member of WAHO
