The management of Janów Podlaski Stud has decided to lower by 50% the fee for the breeding to Pogrom.
The discount applies for owners of mares registered in the PASB and is valid for all breedings purchased from April 1st, 2016 until the end of the breeding season.
The management has also asked the owner of Ascot DD, Athbah Stud, to consider a discount for a breeding to this stallion.
Dear Ladies and Gentelmen,
Yesterday the Racing Program for the 2016 season at the Służewiec Race Track has been approved. The Program plans 29 Conformation Races, including 26 group races and three stake races. Such a number of races fully guarantees the carrying out of stamina trials for show-bred horses, without the need to compete against French-blood Arabians.
It must be emphasized that this would not have been possible without the support of the entire PAHBA, especially President Anna Stojanowska.
The entire correspondence regarding the Conformation Races was carried out by our President at an express rate, which had enormous significance for the above mentioned success.
We wish to inform that similarly to previous years Janów Podlaski Stud will organize a foal inspection by the "private stables" on the second day of the Annual Meeting at 10:00 am.
The subject of the lecture, which will take place on Saturday at 2:30 pm, is: "The Polish Arabian horse breeding program and its implementation" and will be presented by Prof. Krystyna Chmiel.
We also wish to inform that the conference fee for participating in the 20th Annual Meeting is 50 PLN. It will be possible to purchase meals (dinner and supper) on the spot.
During the International Show in Dubai, which took place on the 17-19th of March, 2016, 8 horses of Polish breeding were shown. High places in their classes were secured by: Camilia (bred by Białka) - 2nd in the 7-9 year old mares class and Norma (bred by Michałów) - 1st in the 10 year old mares and above class. Furthermore in the 2 year old colts class Fuerte (bred by J. Dobrzyński) placed 4th and in the 10 year old and above stallions class Girlan-Bey (bred by M. Bogajewicz) placed 2nd.
The Dubai show's budget and prizes to be won by competing horses makes it one of the highest subsidized shows in the world, drawing horses of the highest quality.
During the 11-13th of March a highly ranked show affiliated by ECAHO was held in Doha, Qatar. Five Polish-bred horses marked their presence, noting a high position in their classes. In the 2C class the two year old Empuza (bred by Janów Podlaski Stud) won first place, while Elluara (bred by Michałów) took fifth. In the A series of the 3 year old fillies class Eshila (bred by K. Goździalski – Falborek Araboans) placed third and the 3 year old Morion (bred by Michałów) won his class. A high second spot was also secured by Wkra (bred by Michałów Stud) in the 11 year old mares and above class.
More successes followed in the championships. Both Empuza and Morion won the gold championships in their categories.
During the 4-6th of March, 2016 the ECAHO General Meeting took place in Muscat, Oman. The conference's agenda also included sessions of the Board, Stud Book Committee, as well as the Show and Sport Committee. Poland was represented by a numerous delegation: Anna Stojanowska (Vice-President of ECAHO), Marek Trela (Treasurer of ECAHO), Jerzy Białobok (a many year Polish representative in the Show Committee), Monika Szpura (Polish representative on behalf of the Agricultural Property Agency), Tomasz Tarczyński and Krzysztof Poszepczyński (representatives of the PAHBA, an organization associated in ECAHO).
We are pleased to inform that due to the end of Marek Trela's term, an election was held to choose a new ECAHO treasurer. The candidature of Jerzy Białobok was announced and he was chosen for a 4 year term unanimously. We would like to cordially congratulate on this decision.
During the session of the Show Committee one more Polish show was approved for this year - the ARABIA-POLSKA Show in the Buksza Polo Club, which will take place on the 24-26th of June, 2016.
Full information from the meeting and decisions made there will be presented during this year's annual PAHBA General Meeting, which will take place on 9-10th of April, 2016.
An official information and letter from the President of ECAHO, Jaroslav Lacina, has appeared on the ECAHO website (www.ecaho.org). It is a request for the Polish authorities to explain the dismissals of Anna Stojanowska, Jerzy Białobok and Marek Trela from their governmental functions.
The letter emphasizes the services of those people for Polish Arabian horse breeding, their work towards the development and benefit of ECAHO, as well as their influence on world breeding.
It also warns against the consequences of this decision, which can cause a destruction in both national and worldwide breeding.
In relation to the numerous questions about the date of the annual General Assembly of the PAHBA we would like to remind that it has been set for April 9-10th, 2016 and published on December 21st, 2015 by the PAHBA president http://pzhka.org.pl/index2.php?option=news&lang=en&page=4 . It is also in her capacity to determine the agenda of the meeting 4 weeks prior to this date. Due to the ensuing situation (professional and personal) we would like to ask for understanding in this matter.
