EQUATOR's first and second crop shined at the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show.
At his very first show, MOMAYZ ALJASSIMYA (out of RP Miss Surprise, in the picture) was crowned Gold Champion Yearling Colt, after easily winning his class.
MONA LISA ALJASSIMYA (out of Minwah) was placed second in the yearling fillies’ class, and later in the Championship’s Top 5.
In the classes Top 5 we can also find ILHAM ALJASSIMYA (out of Jenan Aljassimya, yearling fillies), QAMAR ALJASSIMYA (out of Arwa Aljassimya, 2 years old fillies) and VIQUATOR ALJASSIMYA (out of LR Valita, yearling colts).
Congratulations to the breeder Al Jassimya Farm on the wonderful results of EQUATOR’s lease.
On 21st – 26th January the National Championships took place in UAE. Polish-bred arabian horses marked their presence quite admirably.
As usual, Polish „dominance” was mostly visible in Senior Mares’ class. We had 4 Polish-bred representatives in the main championship: Michalow’s EXPRESSJA TV (El Omari – El Medina), PROSARIA (Kabsztad – Prosna) and PUSTYNNA FIESTA (Ekstern – Pustynna Róża) as well as Białka’s CAMILIA (Piaff – Calineczka). In the local championship Janów’s CERVINIA (Enzo – Cerelia) claimed silver for her UAE owner.
The presence of Polish stallions was noticeable as well. In the main Senior Stallions’ Championship we had EL FADO (WH Justice – Enya, bred by ZPH „Strusinianka”, while in the local championship – ZWIEWNY (Maran – Znaczna) bred by Andrzej Piwowarski and LARANDO (QR Marc – Laranda) bred by Michałów Stud.
Among the younger mares 3-years-old ERALDINIA F (Emerald J – Enezja) bred by Falborek Arabians took silver in the Junior Mares Local Championship.
In the classes’ top 5 there were also: BASTIA (Ekstern – Basta, SK Janów Podlaski, mares 4+), ZADORA (Ekstern – Zariba, bred by SK Janów Podlaski, mares 4+, local championship participant) and GAJA LUNA (Psyche Keret – Gaja Iris, bred by Krzysztof Poszepczyński, 3-years-old mares).
The Championships were represented very strongly. The number of entries to every section of every class was many times above 20. This is all the more reason for being proud of the Polish-breds’ numerous successes.
The first Title show in 2019 is already behind us.
During Prince Sultan Arabian Horse Festival, taking place in Al Khalediah Farm in Saudi Arabia, 6 Polish-breds were shown.
GIRLAN BEY (Pesal – Gracja) bred by Michałów Stud was third, while Michałów’s ALBANO (Enzo – Alena) – fourth in 10+ years old stallions class.
GANGA (Emigrant – Granada) bred by Krzysztof Poszepczyński was 4th in 10+ years old mares class.
Michałów’s PIACOLLA (Enzo – Polonica) finished 5th in 7-9-years old mares class.
2-years-old ERALDINIA F (Emerald J – Enezja), bred by Falborek Arabians, was chosen Reserve Champion Filly, while GAJA LUNA (Psyche Keret – Gaja Iris) took Fillies Championship Top 5 title.
There were also two Polish-breds in the Mares Championship: Michałów’s PROSARIA (Kabsztad – Prosna) was placed 3rd. Janów’s CETARA (Ekstern – Cetula) also finished in Top 5.
In the Class’ Top 5 we could also cheer Michałów’s PROSNEGA (4-7-years old mares) as well as EKSTERA bred by Leszek Jarmuz and ESPINA bred by SK Kurozwęki (8+ years old mares)
Congratulations to all the breeders and owners.

JUNIOR MARES
Our best representative – Michałów’s EMANOLLA (Vitorio TO – Emandoria/Gazal Al Shaqab), was placed 4th in her class, which gave her the championship qualification and ultimately World Top 10 title. Janów’s PREGOLA (Vitorio TO – Perespa/Enzo) finiished 6th.
SENIOR MARES
We had two championship qualifiers: ALSA (Kahil Al Shaqab – Alameda/Wachlarz), bred and owned by Janów Podlaski State Stud, and recent European Champion WILDONA (Shanghai EA – Wilda/Gazal Al Shaqab) from Michałów State Stud. Both mares claimed World Top 10 titles. Janów’s POTENTILLA (Ekstern – Panonia/Eukaliptus) was awarded a prize for best movement, with impressibe 5x20 in the class.
A climax moment of the Senior Mares Championship was the last farewell performance of EMANDORIA (Gazal Al Shaqab – Emanda/Ecaho), shown by her lifelong handler Mariusz Liśkiewicz. The queen, after 13 years of splendid show career, says final goodbye to the arenas, claiming Platinum World Champion Title.
YEARLING COLTS
Our only contender, Białka’s PARILLUS (Ascot DD – Parilla/Enzo), has again met the bad luck, losing the Top 5 only by the type score
SENIOR STALLIONS
It was a good night for Team EQUATOR (QR Marc – Ekliptyka/Ekstern). After convincing class win and the highest score of the show (93,67) he qualified to the championship as an audience’s favorite, followed by fellow ATIUS O (Shahim Al Nakeeb – Atia Oone/Johann El Jamaal) owned by Mr Czesław Gołaszewski, who claimed marvelous 2nd place in Section A, ultimately finishing the championships in the World Top 5.
In spite of his class winning, EQUATOR wasn’t exactly a sure bet for the champion title. Fortunately, his splendid final performance convinced 5 out of 7 judges, which led him to the World Senior Champion Stallion title.
YEARLING FILLIES
As usual, there was no numerous Polish representation amongst the youngest fillies. Michałów State Stud showed half-sister to EQUATOR, the chestnut EL BELISSIMA (Ascot DD – Ekliptyka/Ekstern), while Janów – BENONA (Ascot DD – Bernadetta/Ganges). Both fillies finished their performances at the class level.
JUNIOR FILLIES
Section B of 2-year-olds brang us the first championship qualifiers. 4 Polish fillies were placed in the Top 5. Magnificent ERALDA (Emaerald J – Enezja/Marajj), bred by Krzysztof Goździalski – Falborek Arabians claimed the first place with fantastic score of 4x20 for type and 4x20 for movement. Michałów’s PARANTELLA (Kahil Al Shaqab – Palanga/Ekstern) was third, MARKIZA OF JUSTICE (WH Justice – Markiza of Marwan/Marwan Al Shaqab), bred and owned by Małgorzata and Józef Pietrzak was fourth, while Janów’s TACJANA (Ascot DD – Tartina/Perseusz) finished fifth.
Michałów’s EMANOLLA (Vitorio TO – Emandoria/Gazal Al Shaqab) was the best amongst three-year-olds. Our second representative, WIEŻA CZARÓW (Vitorio TO – Wieża Marzeń/Ekstern), bred by Michałów State Stud and owned by Marek Rzepka, also finished in the Top 5.
In the championship ERALDA repeated her wonderful performance, ultimately claiming gold. Michałów’s EMANOLLA also finished in the Top 5.
SENIOR MARES
Polish 4- and 5-year-olds took an entire Top 3. WILDONA (Shanghai EA – Wilda/Gazal Al Shaqab) from Michałów State Stud unexpectedly beat her better-known studmate, PUSTYNIA KAHILA (Kahil Al Shaqab – Pustynna Malwa/Ekstern), claiming 5x20 for movement and 4x20 for type. Janów’s ADELITA (Kahil Al Shaqab – Altamira/Ekstern) was third.
In 6- and 7-year-olds class two Polish mares finished in the Top 5: Janów’s POTENTILLA (Ekstern – Panonia/Eukaliptus) was third, followed by KALAHARI (Ajman Moniscione – Kashira/Magnum Psyche) bred by Andrzej Wójtowicz and owned by P.P.H. Parys. In the top 5 of 8-10 year olds three Polish mares were placed, including EREIRA (Piruet – Elgina/Ekstern) bred by Michałów State Stud and owned by P.P.H. Parys (2nd place), Janów’s PALATINA (QR Marc – Palmeta/Ecaho and ESIMA (Altis – Emanta/Pamir), bred by Krzysztof Goździalski and owned by Halsdon Arabians. 10+ years old mares class contained only one participant – BIRUTA (Ekstern – Bajada/Pamir), bred by Janów Podlaski State Stud and owned by Halsdon Arabians.
Class order was repeated during the championship and the result turned out quite dreamy for Polish breeding. WILDONA returns home as a new European Champion, while PUSTYNIA KAHILA – as a new European Reserve Champion.
SENIOR GELDINGS
Geldings were shown immediately in the championship. The bronze medal was awarded to 7-years-old POSTAR (Om El Belissimo – Pomerania/Gazal Al Shaqab), bred by Janów Podlaski State Stud.
YEARLING COLTS
In section A Białka’s PARILLUS (Ascot DD – Parilla/Enzo) nearly made it to the Top 5, ultimately finishing 6th. In the second section Janów’s ERANTIS (Ascot DD – Eugara/Om El Belissimo) claimed good 4th place, while grey EMAR AVI (Empire – El Medisa/Shanghai EA), bred and owned by Czesław Gołaszewski – Regina Arabians was 7th.
JUNIOR COLTS
We had only one, but very classy representative of 2-year-olds. EL VALENTINO (Excalibur EA – Etiffani/Justify), bred by Wojciech Parczewski – Best Arabians, claimed the Class Top 5. Michałów’s three years old DASTAN (Equator – Dama Pik/Enzo) performed even better, finishing in the third place.
SENIOR STALLIONS
In the 8-10 year olds class, under the absence of AJA ANGELO there was no competition for Michałów’s EQUATOR (QR Marc – Ekliptyka/Ekstern), who claimed 5x20 for type and 5x20 for movement, winning the class with 1,80 points advantage (93,80 – the highest score of the show!). Bred by Janów Podlaski State Stud ETORYK (Om El Shahmaan – Etnologia/Gazal Al Shaqab) claimed the third place.
In the class of 4- and 5-year-olds Janów’s PITAWAL (Kahil Al Shaqab – Pepita/Ekstern) was placed in the Top 5.
Polish stallions outstood the stake also in the oldest (11+) class, won by Michałów’s LISSAR (Gazal Al Shaqab – Larissa/Eukaliptus), who was followed by 2nd ALBANO (Enzo – Alena/Emigrant), bred by Janów Podlaski State Stud.
It turned out that EQUATOR easily surpassed the competition in the championship as well, as he was unanimously chosen The European Senior Champion Stallion.
